ARK’s Lips Straw Topper

ARK's Lips Straw Topper is a simple yet effective oral motor tool – and its big fun too! It naturally exercises the mouth muscles to discourage tongue-thrusting, promote tongue retraction, and correct overall tongue positioning. It also prevents individuals from biting the straw or putting it too far into their mouths. Simply press it into the top of a straw, and drink!

Lip Bloks are often recommended by Speech or Occupational Therapists, as part of a program to improve oral motor tone and control (please ask your healthcare professional for advice).

The Lips Straw Topper mouthpiece measures 3/4" (1.9cm) long. Once the individual becomes accustomed to that length, use the shorter Lip Bloks in the ARK Therapeutic range to improve drinking skills.

The Lips Straw Topper fits into most standard plastic drinking straws (measuring approximately 1/4” (0.7cm) in diameter).

It is not suitable for wide plastic straws or paper straws.

The Lips Straw Topper works best with either the Bear Bottle, Sip-Tip, or Cip-Kup, as these cup sets hold the straw steady.
