ARK’s TEXTURED Bite Tube (Hollow) – Available in Three Colour-Coded Toughness Levels

ARK's Textured Bite Tube is a hollow chew tool with a different diameter at each end. Each end also has a different texture - bumps on the larger end and ribs on the smaller end for additional sensory input. The tube is ideal for individuals who want their chew tool to "collapse" more, either as a sensory chew and/or in feeding therapy. The two different diameters allow you to work on varying jaw heights.

Use the Textured Bite Tube to practice biting and chewing skills without the risk of choking, to build jaw strength and stability, and to exercise the mouth muscles. Place puréed foods inside the tube for functional biting/chewing practice, so that the user gets a taste of food when they bite down. As the hollow tube provides less resistance, this is a great "starter" chew tool for individuals with very limited jaw strength.

Technical Information -

ARK's Textured Hollow Bite Tube measures approximately 13cm long. Half of the hollow tube is 0.9cm in diameter and the other half is 1.3cm in diameter. The Bite Tube will reach the back molars.

Please note - because it is hollow, the Textured Bite Tube will feel much softer than other ARK chews in the same strength. These hollow chews are not recommended as a long-lasting option for avid or aggressive chewers, a solid chew would be a more suitable option.

A note about choosing the correct colour option -

Standard - This is the softest level, recommended for mild chewers (those who do not generally chew through anything). It is also suitable for individuals with low oral tone, or those with limited jaw strength who are just learning to bite and chew

Medium XT - This is the middle level, which is called XT ("Xtra Tough"). It's firmer, but still fairly chewy, recommended for moderate chewers

Very Firm XXT - This is the toughest level, which is called XXT ("Xtra Xtra Tough"). It still has some “chewability” to it, but it’s fairly rigid/pretty firm. This level provides the most resistance/feedback to the jaw

Please note -This product is not a toy. Recommended for children 3 years old and upwards. Although these chew tools are sturdy and durable, no chew tool is indestructible. Wear and tear may be expected given the nature of the intended use. While for some people a chew tool will last forever, for others with heavy/aggressive oral needs, they may go through it very quickly. Please supervise at all times, regularly inspect the chew, and replace if necessary if the item starts to show signs of wear and tear
